Laurie Forestry Limited is extremely proud to have helped Kiwis all over New Zealand to manage their forest journey and make the most of their land. It is both humbling and encouraging when we receive feedback from our clients. See what some of our clients have to say below.

“Our company has had a very long and enduring association dating back to 1994, with Laurie Forestry Ltd and in particular, it’s Director Mr Allan Laurie.

Our company owns two commercial forests, a large 655 hectare Pinus radiata plantation south west of Waimate which Allan Laurie was involved with at the inception plus …other commercial forestry plantations that I am associated with or have been associated with in the past at Pelorus Sounds, Marlborough; Inland Road, Waiau and Port Levy on Banks Peninsular, near Christchurch.

I have found Allan Laurie, his staff and his company Laurie Forestry Ltd to be extremely honest, sincere and to regularly demonstrate the highest possible standards regarding integrity and professionalism in all its business dealings within the industry in both New Zealand and overseas.

Furthermore I have found Allan Laurie and his staff to be thoroughly knowledgeable of in all aspects of the New Zealand forestry industry, forestry valuations, planting, silviculture, harvesting consents and logging operations, log markets, carbon trading etc. as well as an extensive hands on involvement in China.

It is my great pleasure to highly recommend Allan Laurie and his company, Laurie Forestry Ltd for any forestry related activities. Should you require any further information, I welcome any questions or queries that you may have. My contact phone number is (03) 343-4360.

Yours faithfully.

“I would like to formally acknowledge the work carried out by Laurie Forestry on the cutting of the above Forestry Blocks.

Right from the initial valuation through to the final removal of the last trees Laurie Forestry acted in an extremely professional and competent manner always keeping me informed and putting out fires before they ignited.

Both Allan & Aaron should be congratulated for their work and the work of all their contractors.

Compared with the other forestry contractors we employed I would rate Laurie Forestry at least 200% better than them.

Unfortunately I do not own any further forestry as it would be a pleasure to employ your company again but rest assured if anybody asks me who to get to carry out their forestry work I will recommend “Laurie Forestry” and then tell them why.”

“We particularly value that as a company Laurie Forestry Limited has a real time involvement in the Forestry sector both nationally and internationally, ensuring that advice and recommendations given by them are technically correct, up to date and in step with current market trends and requirements.

Their delivery of service has always been exemplary with on time delivery and a willingness to be available for consideration and actioning of our requests at all times.

All staff are pleasant and professional to deal with and we are fortunate to have their services located within our region.

I would be happy to discuss their track record for our Council with anyone considering use of their services.”

Gary Foster
Parks Liaison Officer, Timaru District Council

“Laurie Forestry Limited has had an association, in one way or another, with the Waimate District Council since the 1990’s.

We relied upon them to assist with timing of harvesting, their intimate knowledge of pricing, coordinating of harvesting, and the associated work with that. This was a major task that Laurie Forestry completed in conjunction with Council and our Forestry Manager. Laurie Forestry handled all of the associated public relations and health and safety compliance work…

Council benefited from this association by obtaining pricing premiums through being able to discuss desired returns and negotiate firm commitments. This took away considerable risk, in what can be a volatile market. There were never any issues/delays with payments. Some of our harvesting involved Joint Ventures, and I am very pleased to record that these were always concluded on a win-win basis.

With the introduction of the ETS, we relied upon Laurie Forestry to provide the necessary professional advice. The provision of such advice was always promptly provided and we never had any issues.

I have referred Laurie Forestry to other Councils who have been seeking specialist advice.

If any prospective Forest Owner would like any additional information. it would be my pleasure to provide.”

Kind regards.

Tony Alden
Chief Executive, Waimate District Council
