Fertilising

Many Canterbury, Otago, West Coast and Marlborough sites produce trees which exhibit low Boron levels in the early years. Other micronutrient challenges can appear sporadically depending on the season and soil types.

Using fertiliser and nutrient balancing products is undertaken using the following process:

• Determining nutrient and micro-nutrient levels
  Laurie Forestry has foliage samples analysed to identify any deficiencies.
• Selecting the right products
  We ensure products of the right balance and consistency are used in order to provide optimal spreading and uptake by the plants.
• Application
  We ensure the application of any products is undertaken by qualified technicians with pre-calibrated equipment.
• Follow up
  We undertake regular forest inspections to ensure growth, form, and tree colour are of a superior level.
